Herd has set out to become the UK’s leading online farmers’ market, offering a curated selection of sustainable, regenerative, and high-quality produce from the best producers in each category. The challenge was to establish a brand identity that conveyed the integrity of its supply chain, the convenience of its service, and the exceptional quality of its offering—aiming to become the most trusted source of produce in the UK. Herd sought to address the inefficiencies of fragmented deliveries by creating a one-stop-shop experience, complemented by seasonal recipes and transparent connections to producers.

Through an in-depth workshop with the client, we explored the values and goals of the brand. The core themes of sustainability, provenance, and quality became the foundation for Herd’s identity. Drawing inspiration from the branding of traditional greengrocer crate stencils, we developed a visual and verbal language that felt honest, grounded, distinctly agricultural yet modern.







We collaborated with the client to create the name “Herd,” symbolising unity, community, and connection to the land and its produce. The logo, inspired by old vegetable crate stencils, celebrates the heritage of traditional markets while embracing a clean, contemporary aesthetic. Earthy tones and elegant typography reflect the brand’s commitment to quality whilst keeping a grounded feeling.

























Herd launched as the UK’s trusted online farmers’ market, offering customers a high-quality, sustainable alternative to supermarket shopping. Its brand identity resonated with its audience, fostering organic growth and positioning Herd as a beacon of quality and integrity in the food industry.
