Tsunami Axis
Challenge
Since 1999, Tsunami Axis has helped organisations create exceptional workplaces through independent furniture consultancy, procurement and project delivery. Today, the company combines local expertise with the operational strength to deliver complex projects across multiple locations and international markets.
While the business had continued to evolve, its existing identity no longer fully reflected its scale, confidence or design intelligence. The brief was not to reposition Tsunami Axis, but to bring its visual expression in line with the company it had already become.
Tsunami Axis

This was particularly important for an audience of architects and designers. The people Tsunami Axis works with are highly design-conscious, so the identity needed to do more than appear professional. It needed to demonstrate an understanding of design and where the workplace is heading, while reassuring existing clients that the expertise and service they trusted remained unchanged.
The project was approached as a brand evolution rather than a complete rebrand, retaining the familiarity and recognition Tsunami Axis had established while creating a clearer, more assured visual system.

Concept / Solution
Our workshops identified the qualities that set Tsunami Axis apart: local knowledge backed by international delivery, operational precision paired with collaborative service, and technical expertise grounded in a clear appreciation of design.
At the heart of the evolved identity is the New Axis. Developed from the original box symbol, it marks a new chapter for the company while maintaining a direct connection to its past. We simplified the form, removed its angle and made its geometry symmetrical. Softened corners reference the considered details found in furniture and product design.
The New Axis is paired with a characterful geometric wordmark that brings clarity, confidence and functional simplicity. Separating the two elements gives the identity greater flexibility: the wordmark leads communications, while the New Axis acts as a distinctive signature across different formats and environments.

Tsunami Axis red remains the defining brand colour, supported by a broader palette that gives the identity greater range and expression. A confident typographic hierarchy, shifts in scale and a consistent system of rounded forms bring energy, structure and warmth to the layouts.
Together, these elements create a modernist visual language that feels considered and precise without becoming cold or overly formal. It reflects the operational rigour of the business while speaking naturally to the design-conscious clients it works with.

Delivery
We developed the identity into a practical system capable of supporting Tsunami Axis across its services and communications. The visual language was applied across the new website, presentations, proposals, case studies, social content, product communications and physical brand touchpoints.
Detailed brand guidelines establish clear rules for the wordmark, the New Axis, colour, typography, imagery and rounded layout system. This gives teams across the business the consistency they need while retaining enough flexibility for different content, audiences and applications.

The new website brings the scale and breadth of Tsunami Axis into focus, connecting its furniture expertise with its consultancy, planning, project management and international delivery capabilities. It also provides a more engaging platform for its projects, products and design perspective.
The evolved identity brings the outside of the business in line with the reality: highly experienced, operationally precise and closely connected to the world of workplace design.
